We have had a very very exciting time here. Our first foal of 2009 has arrived!!
Dakota's
Little Buccaneer arrived in the early house on Tuesday 26th May - only
2 days later than expected. We missed it of course - Dakota wanted some
privacy, but she is more than happy to share her new son with us all
now and 'Blue' loves the attention. She is very very proud of her
little man and is a very attentive mother. We think he is a buckskin,
but he has the most unusual grey/blue eyes - hence the name! We will be
checking to see if he carries the silver gene like his mum. I haven't
had the heart to pull some tail hairs yet!!!
We will keep you posted on how he gets on and post more photos.
Warrior
Lynx (Trouble) and Pirate's Little Buccaneer (Bucky) have both returned
from Twemloes Stud. Many thanks to Tullis, Aileen and everyone at
Stallions AI Services for looking after our boys.
We are all gearing
up for our first baby now - Dakota Dream is due to foal this month,
around teh 24th May, so foal alarms have arrived, cctv cameras are
going up and my duvet is in the caravan on the farm. We will keep you
posted........
2 new babies, who will be coming to us later this
year have arrived safely. Both bred by Gayle at Colourthyme stud and
both stunning. MCH Starglow and Knapstup warmblood, Mikker have
produced a wonderful curly spotty colt. What a fantastic guy he is -
destined for sporty things I think!! MCH Shawna and Painted DUnn Deal
have also produced another lovely colt - jury's out on his colour
though - dun/palomino/dunalino - we will let you know when we do!
Don't you just love the foaling season!
more news soon.......

Spring
is around the corner and the sap is rising!! Our stud stallions
thoughts are turning to the season ahead. Here is our mini curly pony
stallion 'Bucky' playing with little cupcake. He has been chatting to
the bigger girls along the fences all week!!
Warrior Lynx
is off to Twemloes Stud at the end of the month, so if you were
thinking of 'Trouble' as the stallion for your mare, let us know so we
can book you in for AI. We are only going to collect a limited supply
this year, so don't miss out........
Our 3 pregent mares
are doing really well and we are looking forward to our first foal at
the end of March. So much to look forward to.........
