What
can we say about this little pony mare – she is the colour of milk
chocolate with a cream mane and tail. Dakota carries the silver gene
and is therefore officially a silver dapple. At 12.2h, she is the
perfect size for children and her hypoallergenic coat makes her safe
for everyone.
Dakota produced a wonderful silver buckskin colt foal this year, Dakota's Little Buccaneer and is in foal again to 'Bucky' for a 2010 June foal. Dakota has been a wonderful first time mum, and her little buccaneer has inherited his mothers strong character and fearlessness. Before Dakota came to us, she lived with Lene Jensen in Norway with her mother, Sweet Pea. She defended the herd one day, by attacking and killing a snake which had invaded the pasture! She would also escape the herd and visit a neighbour who would feed her titbits and then she would return home, hoping not to be discovered. Dakota Dream is really quite something!
