PRE 190101002213650 SIRE: Por Lumbrales 2111848(PRE) Ragama is a truly beautiful black PRE Spanish mare. Ragama arrived at Trevor Hall Farm from Barcelona in December 2008 and has settled in with her curly cousins. We chose Rags for our breeding programme as she has incredible paces and presence, as well as a very trusting, sensitive personality. Standing at 15.2h, she is somewhat smaller than most PRE Spanish breeding stock in Europe today, but ideal for us, as we wanted to inject the Iberian presence into our breeding programme, without producing very big rangy horses. We chose Ragama also for her colour and impeccable Spanish breeding, to enable us to introduce these superior bloodlines to our curly breeding programme. Her Dam’s breeding is pure Yeguada Millitar - very valued lines denoting excellence. Her sire, Lumbrales, also has YM lines, peppered with other strong Spanish breeding lines. Ragama remains unbacked, which is quite usual for spanish mares, but as we believe it is important to give all our breeding horses ‘another life’ other than just producing foals, we are going to start her under saddle this winter and will ride her on until the early summer of 2010, when we hope she will be in foal to our main stud stallion, Warrior Lynx., for an early 2011 foal.
