'Red' arrived at Trevor Hall Farm rather unexpectedly! He appeared one morning 3 weeks earlier than expected and took us all, including his mum, by suprise.
A lovely sorrel colt with a white blaze and four white socks, we were unsure as to whether he had inherited the sabino gene from his father, VJB Man In The Moon. A coat test showed no sabino, so he remains a sorrel colt with roaning through his coat.
Red has inherited both of his parents wonderful temperaments and excellent confirmation, so he will make a lovely childs hypoallergenic pony in the future. He stands now at 11.3h. There could also be a future for 'Red' in a European curly breeding programme as he is unrelated to most of the ponies currently in Europe and he will be a welcome stallion choice for breeders seeking some 'new' blood.
Red's now leads, ties and can have his feet trimmed without a halter on in the field, so we are confident he will just love the fuss that a young owner would give him. We shall be offering Red for sale.
